I thought about rewriting this book, but it wouldn't be called A New Root if I did, so I wont. I decided to learn from it. I no longer write expecting people to understand me. I edited, revised, and changed a lot of poems in this book. I shouldn't have. One thing for sure is I learned from it. Once I begin to pour, I pour out what's in me in the moment. To go back and edit it, almost comes off as if it never happened or I was wrong for feeling that way. It's like telling som
